Introduce Yourself
Welcome to the community. We're glad you found us.
Introducing yourself is the easiest way to get started. It helps other members know who they're talking to, and it lets you see right away that you're among people who understand.
Community Guidelines: Our Shared Agreement
Thank you for being part of this community. People come here from many different places: some have lived through a crisis episode, some have stood beside someone who did, and some work every day to help. These guidelines exist so that everyone feels safe, respected, and heard.
Our core promise: this is a place for compassion, honesty, and collaboration. Disagreement is welcome. Disrespect is not.
The Guidelines
1. Be kind and respectful. Disagree with ideas, never attack people. Assume good intentions.
2. Protect privacy. Don't post full names, addresses, workplaces, medical records, or anything that could identify you or someone else. Share your story, but protect the people in it.
3. No medical advice. Share experiences, not diagnoses or treatment instructions. Professionals, please speak from general knowledge, not as a replacement for individual care.
4. No judgment, no blame. Crisis episodes are not character flaws. Shaming or stigmatizing language will be removed.
5. Handle sensitive content with care. Avoid graphic descriptions of self-harm, suicide methods, or violence. Add a content warning to your title when discussing heavy topics.
6. No spam or selling. This board is for conversation, not advertising or solicitation.
7. Stay on topic. Post in the forum that fits your subject so others can find it.
8. Report concerns. If a post worries you or breaks these guidelines, use the report button. Moderators will review it as soon as possible.
9. Moderators may edit or remove content that breaks these guidelines, and may suspend members who repeatedly do so.
If you are in crisis right now: this forum is not an emergency service. Please see the Immediate Help notice pinned at the top of the board.
By posting here, you agree to help keep this community safe and respectful.
Thank you,
